Thirty years after the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) America looks fundamentally different, though paradoxically, an enormous amount of work still lies ahead. Join Assistant U.S. Attorney, David J. Kennedy for an illuminating talk about this landmark civil rights law and its transformative impact in the US.
David J. Kennedy, Esq. has served with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York since 2000. He is currently Co-Chief of the Civil Rights Unit, and an adjunct professor of law at NYU. Kennedy holds a BA from Harvard College, where he was a writer, editor, and cook for The Harvard Lampoon, and earned his JD at Yale Law School, where he was an Executive Editor of the Yale Law Journal.
The views expressed in his presentation are not necessarily those of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Justice Department, or NYU Law School.
