Derek W. Wright is a retired 1st Grade Detective from the NYPD, author, screenwriter, playwright, community advocate, Private Investigator, small business, husband, father, grandfather, and Son of God.
He is a retired 1st Grade NYPD Detective, who specialized in high-risk undercover operations and high-profile criminal investigations. He is a leader in police reform, he modernized law enforcement standards as Chair of the Peekskill Police Reform Task Force, and authored the legislation for the city’s first Civilian Review .Board
