Join Dr. Anne Klaeysen for a “sneak peek” at her new course for the American Humanist Association Center for Education. Written in collaboration with Ethics for Children Director Audrey Kindred, “Humanist Life Ceremonies” is a guide to creating ceremonies and practices within a Humanist context, for individuals and families of all kinds to express their relationships and values. The program lays the ground for a holistic approach to developing self-directed experiences and encourages families to take the risk of creative agency, by building the culture that resonates with the values they choose to live by.
Anne Klaeysen is a retired clergy Leader for The New York Society for Ethical Culture. She co-chairs the Encampment for Citizenship and serves on the board of Ethical Culture Fieldston School. She holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Hebrew Union College, and master’s degrees in German from SUNY Albany and Business Administration from NYU.
