Join guest speaker, Christopher Oldi, Esq. for a discussion on the history of LGBTQ rights in the US; the future and the challenges to those rights, and how to be an ally and promoter of tolerance and openness for all queer folk.
Christopher Oldi, Esq. served as Director of Pro Bono Programming at Legal Services of the Hudson Valley where he spearheaded their LGBTQ Legal Project, representing low-income LGBTQ individuals on issues of discrimination, housing, disability advocacy, and other civil matters. Christopher was named a “Diversity Champion” in 2017 by the Westchester County Business Journal, and the Westchester County Legislature named 6/22/16 & 9/28/17 as “Christopher Oldi days”, in honor of his community work. Christopher currently serves on the Family & Matrimonial Law Steering Committee of the LGBT Bar Association of Greater New York. He holds a BA from Vassar College and JD from the CUNY School of Law at Queens College and is currently the Executive Director at South Coastal Counties Legal Services.
