Dennis Parker is a national leader in the battle for racial fairness and equality. The Harvard-educated attorney is director of the American Civil Liberties Union’s Racial Justice Program. Parker overseas work to combat the “School-to-Prison” pipeline, the profiling of airline passengers subjected to searches and wrongfully placed on watch lists and the racial bias in the criminal justice system. Join us at this month’s meeting when Parker, a member of REPAIR’s organizing committee gives us his inside perspective on the current battles being waged around the country to defend racial equality against the latest frightening assaults.
