Marianna Stout provides a close-up look at all that’s involved in helping individuals who are identified and allowed by the US State Department to enter the country under the status of “Refugee.”
In March, ESNW became a supporting organization for Open Arms for Refugees, a local nonprofit dedicated to resettling refugees across Westchester County. Since then, Marianna and a core team of our members have been actively volunteering with OAR, helping a family from Colombia become self-supporting in the Ossining community.
Join us this Sunday to hear more about these efforts, including some heartwarming stories, and ways to get involved.
Marianna Stout is a retired software engineer, and a lifetime volunteer in support of responsible government participation—first with the League of Women Voters, and more recently as national political activist. Now, as Project Leader with OAR, Marianna directly supports recipients of laws and policies she has worked to enact.
