Sunday,March 2nd at 11:00 AM:
Join guest speaker Courtney Morris for an exercise in how to reason about ethical dilemmas. Each participant is assigned a “seat” on a moral jury to review and understand a difficult case, its’ possible resolutions, moral principles, and support arguments which must be evaluated.
Reasoning together, building off each other’s insights, enables us to arrive at a thoughtful, well-considered moral judgment of what should happen in a difficult case.
Courtney Morris is an Associate Professor of Philosophy. She specializes in the history of philosophy and the philosophy of pedagogy. She has published articles in journals including Teaching Philosophy, The History of Philosophy Quarterly, and the Journal of the Philosophy of Education.
