Ethical Culture is a humanistic religious and educational movement inspired by the ideal that the supreme aim of human life is working toward a more just and humane society. Our faith is in the capacity and responsibility of human beings to act in their personal relationships and in their communities to create a better world.
The Ethical Society of Northern Westchester is one of more than twenty Ethical Culture Societies in the United States. Federated in the United States by the American Ethical Union, the American Ethical Culture movement is affiliated with countless humanist organizations and projects. And, through the American Ethical Union’s participation in the International Humanists and Ethical Union, American Ethical Societies are affiliated with humanist organizations and projects throughout the world.
Our commitment is to the worth and dignity of the individual and to treating each and every human being so as to bring out the best in them and, thereby, ourselves.
Members join together in Ethical Societies to help each other in developing ethical ideas and ideals…in celebrating life’s joys and in supporting each other through life’s crises…working together to improve our world and the world of our children.
