The next Ossining Documentary & Discussion Series will screen “Swim Team” on Thursday, October 19th, 6:30 pm at the Ossining Public Library. In ‘Swim Team’ the parents of a boy on the autism spectrum form a competitive swim team, recruiting other teens on the spectrum and training them with high expectations and zero pity. The film chronicles the extraordinary rise of three diverse young athletes, capturing a moving quest for inclusion, independence, a life that feels like winning, and shows how a swim team can bring hope to a community. Screening to be followed by panel discussion.
